Vision & Mission

Mission Statment

Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive and nurturing space for our youngest community members, allowing their young minds to bloom through play-based learning and exploration. We embrace the wonders of the world, bringing nature into the classroom, fostering a lifelong curiosity of faith, creativity, and social-emotional development.

Vision

At St. John’s Community Child Development Center, our Administration, Teachers, and Staff share a profound vision: to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We recognize the power of early childhood experiences, where discovery and play shape independence, confidence, and essential skills.

We promise to
• Provide a safe, nurturing space for physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth.
• Partner with parents to support social, emotional, and creative development.
• Offer high-quality, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experiences.
• Foster independence, positive attitudes, faith, and essential life skills.
• Create a strong, supportive community where lifelong friendships flourish.

Scriptural Foundation

The first years of life are extremely important in a child’s development.  Self-concept begins to grow in the earliest years as children begin to identify themselves as unique individuals in God’s world.  Their everyday activities become fundamental for later development.  At St. John’s CCDC, each child is encouraged to grow and be guided in developing a healthy sense of self-worth as a child of God.

“And [Jesus] took a little child, and set him in the midst of them.  And when he had taken him in his arms, He said to them, ‘Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.”

Mark 9:36-37
