Liberty Park Director & St. John’s CCDC Lead Director: Amanda Sutliff Amanda

Ms. Amanda is St. John’s Liberty Park Director.

I am in the process of obtaining my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I have a National Administrators Credential (NAC) and enjoy continuing my education in community classes and programs to keep up on the latest  in the early childhood world.  I am a transplant to Salt Lake from Miami, and I have found my place in Utah and love the community around me. I am a mom, dog lover and avid road tripper, I have crossed the country 9 times in total so far, each time finding a new place to explore.

“Working at St. Johns has assured me that I have found my calling in the education world, interacting with and teaching children add so much to my days, I know that I am where I am supposed to be”.

Sugarhouse Director:  Melissa WilliamsIMG_3946

My name is Melissa Williams and I am excited to be taking on my new role as a Director at the Sugarhouse location!
A little about me: I was born and raised right here in Utah. I am the oldest of seven children. My husband and I have been married for seven years. I am a caretaker by nature and mother to three amazing children.
I worked in the service industry for many years, in many roles, including supervisor. I have been an Early Childhood Educator for what will be ten years this April. I started as a toddler teacher at Christ Lutheran School and from there I have had the opportunity at one time or another to be the lead teacher in each of the classrooms we have at St. John’s including summer camp. My current role here at St. John’s is lead PreK teacher at the Murray location. I really enjoyed working with Camp Wild Life this past year and the experience of getting out into the great outdoors with the kids.
I have a passion for learning and it gives me great joy to see that same spark ignite in the minds of the children I get to work with. I am a big believer in the philosophy that children learn best through play. I love the Reggio Emilia approach to education and I am eager to help others incorporate it into their classrooms. I have taken a wide variety of classes over the years to further my knowledge and stay informed in my field. I will be working on obtaining my National Administrators Credential over the summer.
I consider myself a big nerd at heart and enjoy books, comics, movies, and pop-culture. I look forward to getting to know and working with the Sugarhouse team. I can’t wait to meet you and for all the adventures that lie ahead.

St. John’s CCDC Executive Director: Chaney Zinnchaney

I was born and raised in Wyoming and moved to SLC in 2003. I am a proud mom, wife, avid gardener, art fanatic, and self proclaimed people person.

I began my career with St. John’s in 2011 when we were just one little preschool by Liberty Park. I have been lucky to see St. John’s CCDC grow into 3 locations and a thriving school-age program.

I have a B.A. in public relations from Colorado Mesa University and a National Administrator Credential (NAC).

I look forward to continuing to make a difference for our students, the teachers, St. John’s, and most of all my family. I am truly blessed by God’s good grace.
